Overview
Test Analyst Location: Brighton Salary: £30-34,000 Working with an award-winning provider of investment in the heart of Brighton, just a 10 minute walk from the station and a stone's throw away from the beach. The purpose of this role is to provide effective testing and quality assurance functions, taking part in the delivery of quality software products aligned to business objectives and architectural guidelines. You will be working closely with all project staff, to define and deliver clear testing goals. Responsibilities: To review and analyse requirements and specifications Creating test scenarios and detailed test scripts Follow the relevant SDLC methodology aligned to team practices and industry standards Record defects in the appropriate defect tracking tool and ensure that defects are registered in a timely manner Review your peer's work Identify/create test data as appropriate Creation of manual regression packs Attend relevant project and handover meetings Skills, experience and knowledge required: A good understanding of HP Application Lifecycle Management (formerly Quality Centre) Ability to write SQL queries to return required information Proven manual testing experience Familiar with industry standard principles and methodologies A good understanding of security best practices A good understanding of test metrics A basic understanding of automation testing Minimum of ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Level Certified Tester achieved (with willingness to study for ISEB/ISTQB Intermediate/Advanced Level qualification) Desirable: experience of testing financial services products/systems Benefits: A generous bonus scheme (dependant on role) 25 days paid holiday, plus bank holidays One paid day a year to volunteer at a local charity of your choice Healthcare, life assurance and pension contributions Training, team building and management development programmes Enhances maternity, paternity and adoption leave If you enjoy working as part of an inclusive, diverse team and want to play a pivotal role in a successful digital transformation, we would love to hear from you Shortlisting now, apply ASAP to avoid disappointment InterQuest Group is acting as an employment agency for this vacancy.
