Is your knowledge of IAS, IFRS and Regulatory framework up to date? An exciting position has become available for a Hedge Accounting Manager to join the Core Finance team. Reporting into the Head of Treasury Accounting you will be the first port of call for all hedge accounting queries across the Group. You will be responsible for maintaining the hedge accounting framework for the Group ensuring that all hedge accounting related transactions are compliant with relevant accounting standards and recorded correctly in the Group's and individual entities' ledgers. The role will also lead to you being involved with other treasury related activity including securitisation transactions and the acquisition/disposal of other financial instruments. A key part of the role will be to work in partnership with the wider finance, treasury, specialist finance and securitisation functions to support the Group's growing financial complexity and ensure hedge accounting arrangements are fully considered ahead of deal executions. You will hold the lead role in the execution of hedge accounting processes and month end reporting and will be responsible for: Implementing, developing and maintaining a fully regulatory compliant hedge accounting system, currently meeting the requirements of IFRS 9 and IAS 39, Understand the workings of the hedge accounting system and being able to explain this, Ensuring all hedge accounting systems, models, processes and procedures are up to date and compliant at all times, Delivering consistent, quality reports that suitably inform senior management of the Group's hedge accounting related results and risk information. Having worked in a similar environment, you will hold the following key skills: Modelling and quantitative analysis skills with a strong numeric/mathematical background, Technical accounting and financial knowledge, Knowledge of derivative products and other financial instruments, Confident user of Treasury Management and general ledger systems, Model maintenance experience; Strong documentation skills; Excellent IT Skills in use of software and data management solutions, Experience dealing with specialist external consultants dealing with matters relating to hedge accounting, Experience of writing and presenting complex material effectively, Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively, Working as part of a team or alone, you will have a flexible approach and attitude, Experience of process improvement projects.
