Overview
Global Insurer needs Data Engineer to implement Innovative AI and ML projects Your new company You will be working for a leading international insurer who are looking to expand their advanced analytics and data science team. They are looking to implement a number of new Data Science projects and this role provides the opportunity to be at the forefront of developing and facilitating these projects, taking commercial approaches with an innovative outlook on the normal ways of working. Your new role You will join a growing team of data engineers and data scientists to design and develop solutions in infrastructure, data delivery and automation to facilitate large scale commercial projects. By utilising Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence led approaches, you will not only be able to develop and learn in these areas, but deliver full-scale solutions that will positively affect the business and your career in the future. What you'll need to succeed It would be ideal to speak with those who have experience in one or more of these areas: Experience in data engineering to develop and implement machine learning models. Build infrastructure that allows for ETL of data from a wide variety of on-premise and cloud data stores. Able to work on distributed environments e.g. Hadoop and run distributed jobs using Spark. Experience of implementing REST APIs for consumption of predictive analytics output. Ability to setup and configure development environments on premise servers and on Azure. Ability to work with structured and unstructured data.
