Overview

Here at Discovery we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Support Worker team at The Old Farmhouse in Chard. You don’t need to have experience as a Support Worker as we can give you the training and knowledge you’ll need but you will need to have a great attitude and be passionate about improving the lives of the people in our care. About the role: The Old Farmhouse is a Supported Living service currently split into different flats to support the 6 individuals who live here. The people we support here are a mixed group of men and women, who have multiple learning disabilities and Autism, and we provide one to one support both in their individual flats within the service and out in the community, going on day trips and visits to local places of interest, and the people we support here love going out for walks and drives in the local area. One of the great parts of being a Support Worker at The Old Farmhouse is the fantastic relationships that you will be able to build with the people you support over time, and while slow to build it is an amazing feeling to see someone’s face light up when you start your day supporting them. Benefits and rewards: £9.00 per hour, with £9.90 for Waking Nights and Overtime.
