Overview

Could you support me? I am a woman with learning disabilities living in Chard who is looking for Support Workers to work as part of Discovery and support me with my day to day life. I like friendly people who will take me out for day trips and activities, particularly to the local day centre at The Laurels. I love to be pampered, getting my nails done and going to the hairdressers. I also really enjoy doing arts and crafts and find it even more fun when you get involved too. My family is really important to me and I will rely on you to help me keep those relationships maintained. I need to have well planned days that are followed closely to help me keep track of what’s happening. To support me you will need to be a friendly and patient person that can reflect the values of Discovery. You won’t need experience as Discovery can give you the training you need but you will need to be flexible for different shifts.
