Head of Regular Giving Advancement Division Salary: £57,606 - £65,949 per annum Location: South Kensington, London Are you a highly experienced direct marketing or communications professional with fundraising experience? Are you a highly motivated individual who can lead a team and drive forward new strategies? If so, this could be the perfect career opportunity for you. The Advancement Division is in search of an outstanding leader and motivator, with experience of building relationships with key stakeholders and navigating a large and complex organisation, to take the Regular Giving programme to the next level. Over the last decade, the Regular Giving programme, which seeks philanthropic support up to £25,000, has built a strong base of engaged and committed alumni donors primarily through direct mail and telephone appeals. The programme is now seeking to expand its reach to new constituencies such as current students, staff and friends of the College. In addition to developing strategies to target new constituencies, this role will also devise and implement a new digital fundraising strategy to increase donor numbers and maximise income. The role will also be responsible for a small portfolio of individuals to secure private financial support from those who are committed to our academic mission and building Imperial’s global reputation. Duties and responsibilities Lead, develop and manage the fundraising strategy and activities for the Regular Giving programme to maximise the full potential of individual philanthropic gifts up to £25,000. Shape the strategic direction of the Regular Giving programme including planning and organising both resources and activities, setting targets, metrics and KPIs and managing all communications and design, data segmentation strategies, audiences and constituencies, fundraising projects and oversee expenditure of income and reporting back to donors. Lead, develop and manage rollout of a new digital fundraising strategy to engage new constituents and effectively upgrade and renew existing donors. Manage a small portfolio of leadership level prospects and donors who have the capacity to make a gift up to £25,000. Lead, develop and manage the overall data theory and underpinning direct marketing principles to make both strategic and real time adjustments to appeals and overall programme to ensure targets are met. Utilise and manage Regular Giving budget and overall fundraising strategy effectively to ensure all related expenditure meets overall targets. Overall responsibility for ensuring fundraising appeals and projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet overall set targets. Essential requirements In-depth experience in and knowledge of mass fundraising, digital fundraising and direct marketing techniques including forecasting, data segmentation, copy and design evaluation and project management. Experience of face to face fundraising, for securing at least four to five figure gifts. Significant experience of managing high performing teams, with ability to motivate staff and set a strategic direction for the team/programme. Proven leadership ability and exceptional experience of planning and progressing fundraising initiatives and campaigns under own initiative and in a professional manner. Politically astute and ability to successfully navigate a large and complex organisation.
