Long term contract for a for an M&E Clerk of Works in a healthcare setting in Birmingham Your new company Our client is an NHS trust that covers a number of hospital sites in the Birmingham area. You will be working in the Capital Works team and will be primarily looking at sub 1M works across their project portfolio. They have a large number of minor works projects and you will be working with the Project Manager to provide a strong M&E clerking service to the team. Your new role You will be overseeing a number of refurbishments projects that are varied in size and scope. You will be reporting on the progress of the M&E contractors delivering the electrical and mechanical biased projects. This will include ensuring the installations are good quality, to specification, and timescales and budgets. You will be involved in meetings, problem solving or pre-empting any issues .You will provide detailed reports to the PM for the job. Some current projects include fire stopping, kitchen refurbishments, ventilation refurbishments, medical gas projects, outpatients refurbishments, water heating replacements and many more. What you'll need to succeed You will ideally be a qualified building services professional and have electrical or mechanical qualifications or a very strong understanding. Experience in providing a reporting role on M&E construction / installation would be preferable so M&E Clerk of Works, M&E Project Officer etc would be the best previous experience. What you'll get in return On offer there is a 3 month contract opportunity with potential for 6 months or a permanent role as well.
