Building Surveyor - Stock Condition Data - Housing - Fire Safety Focus - Inside IR35 - £20-25 p/h Your new company On behalf of our client, a public sector organisation in Central London, Hays Property & Surveying are currently seeking an asset building surveyor, to join the Housing Service Division. Your new role You'll be playing a key role in ensuring that the organisation collects and maintains accurate and comprehensive Stock Condition data. You'll be undertaking detailed stock condition surveys to inform long term investment decisions and build annual programmes of works. Especially with regard to post Grenfell issues and tall blocks over 18m, you will play a key role in ensuring that the organisation collects and maintains accurate and comprehensive Stock Condition data in order to inform central government returns and long term investment decisions. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Asset Management consultants. What you'll need to succeed You'll have a degree in Building Surveying or a minimum of 5 years' general experience of building surveying. You'll be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge and experience of undertaking stock condition surveys on all types of housing stock - traditional and non traditional construction. Thorough understanding of building construction including domestic wiring, plumbing/heating and drainage. Experience of working with Codeman or other asset management software. Ability to ensure effective use of Information Technology, including word processing and spread sheets, in order to extract and input information.
