Vacancy for No.1 Housing Site Manager - chance to run your own project from pre-start to completion Your new company This regional builder has been established in the south-west for over 40 years and produces a range of elegant homes that are sympathetic to local architecture, whilst providing customers with modern, high quality interior fittings and decor. They have established themselves as a builder of distinction with a reputation for quality and customer care. Due to expansion of their operations in the region, they are looking to employ a highly capable, experienced site manager with drive and deliver a new development on the outskirts of Plymouth. Your new role Reporting to an enthusiastic and supportive contracts manager, your role will involve supervising all aspects of a new site of timber frame properties, through enabling works, groundworks, timber frame erection, brickwork, first fix, internals and finishing of plots through to customer handover. Your daily duties will include progress meetings, coordination and supervision of specialist trades, ordering materials, taking deliveries, site inductions, customer liaison where required and all aspects of health and safety on the development. What you'll need to succeed You'll need to have provable experience of running speculative housing developments preferably of timber frame construction, have current CSCS, SMSTS and 1st aid qualifications and be able to demonstrate each of the following characteristics at an interview stage: be a team player with strong communication skills; be able to manage aspects of a new build; be confident and competent in making decisions.
