Job Title: Project Manager Type: Permanent Location: North West Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Generous Company Benefits The Company My client is successful, dynamic and growing contracting business who work within Civil Engineering, Highways & Utilities. They are currently growing year on year in the UK and have increased their turnover significantly in the North West over the past 12 months. As a result of increased workload and multiple new framework wins throughout the North West, they are looking to hire a Site Focussed and Hands On Project Manager to manage multiple projects across various sites in the North West. The Role Reporting to and assisting the Framework manager and the Contracts Manager, the Project Manager will take responsibility for the all activities on the sites of their allocated projects. · Advise on Civil Engineering new & extension projects. · Regular updates of programme resources and costs · Ensure each project is running to schedule and within Governance · Ensure all works are carried out to a high standard and in line with Client expectations and current HSE legislation. · Be aware of Early warnings, Compensation events and payment applications · Ensure CDM Regulations are always adhered to. · Ensure that all Subcontractors are conforming to project schedule and the works program is run effectively and efficiently. The Candidate At least 5 years’ experience in Project Management Comfortable working across one or more projects from conception to completion. Comfortable in an environment that is mostly self-delivery. Experience with projects ranging in value from £0.2m to £6m. Relevant Technical Engineering Qualification (Degree or HNC) Experience across Civil Engineering Sectors such as: General Groundworks, Waterways, Highways, Local Authority, 278 Works or Bridges Structures. Civils Background and Program Experience NEC Contract experience The ideal candidate would also: · New Build Highways or Highways Maintenance/Surfacing Frameworks · Originate from a Self-Delivery Contractor business.
