Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Pressure Testing Technician for our client who are based in Slough. They specialise in sealing die cast components. Within this role, you will be required to work to high quality standards when processing customer parts. Key responsibilities and accountabilities Pressure Testing Applying the correct pressure test criteria in line with customer requirements and detailed specifications if applicable Carry out pressure testing of all items deemed suitable to be pressure tested, ensuring resources are maintained at the correct level to avoid delays Complete documentation and follow procedures in line with the Quality Management System Establish tooling requirements and estimated testing times to aid the quotation process Ensure equipment is in a good working order and incorporate 5S methodology to ensure work area is kept safe, clean and tidy. To ensure efficiency and quality are maintained when processing customer components in any production cell within the business To work closely with the Production Manager to ensure customer deadlines are met To have an understanding of customer requirements, in respect of engineering drawings To ensure a timely manufacture, despatch and delivery of products to customers, while ensuring internal Process Control sheets are followed, understood and completed To ensure safe handling procedures are observed, when processing parts To ensure all customer directions are followed, from Drawings or internal route cards To ensure that the quality system is adhered to in order to maintain ISO9001 Ensure good, orderly housekeeping in your process area To maintain and comply with the company Health and Safety Policy, including the control of hazardous substances To ensure all Environmental aspects of your process adhere to the company ISO 14001 Environmental accreditation To maintain confidentiality at all times within the area of your responsibility To comply with Company policies and procedures Any other duties that you may be called upon to perform by the Management Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE An awareness of Health and Safety regulations is required To have an understanding of the various methods of pressure testing the Company can offer to customers Ability to read and interpret customer specifications and drawings An engineering, mechanical or quality background would be preferred Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 p/annum, plus pension and 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays). Overtime paid at time and a half.
