Overview
William Weedon Consulting are working closely with a Financial Services business in Leeds to recruit an experienced and talented qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) into a Group Reporting role. As the Reporting Accountant you will be responsible for providing all aspects of technical and statutory accounting advice and reporting requirements. Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be responsible for: Production of Annual Financial Statements and Regulatory reports Provide technical accounting advice to Finance and the wider business Production of all statutory reporting requirements to include interim and year end reporting Manage external relationships with HMRC, auditors and advisors HMRC submissions and payments for Corporation Tax and VAT Ensure that adequate financial controls are in place and looking at processes and systems to improve current reporting tools Actively contribute to and advise on business issues, projects and new initiatives • Ensure adequate Financial Controls are in place Stay abreast of changes in regulations The successful candidate will be a Practice trained, Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with minimum of 5 years PQE. Must have previous experience of statutory and tax reporting in a large company or group. Advanced Excel skills including modelling are required.
