Overview
We are looking for a confident, dynamic individual with accounts experience to join our busy client support team, handling all aspects of purchase Ledger, management reporting and accounts for a selection of key clients across a range of sectors. The position covers a wide variety of daily, weekly and monthly activities as part of the client support team function, including but not limited to: Daily processing & reconciliation activities for purchase ledger information Credit control activities Maintaining databases and internal filing requirements Handling invoice generation Management of supplier payments and adherence to deadlines General client liaison and communications Handling telephone enquiries Data entry on spreadsheets and databases Data inputting on Sage and data imports into Sage Weekly and monthly data reporting activities Bank Reconciliations All applicants will ideally have prior experience in using Sage Line 50 software, however proficiency in other mainstream accounting software will also be considered Xero & QuickBooks would be an advantage Qualifications and Education Requirements Minimum requirement is for grade C / 4 GCSE level passes in Maths and English. Preferred Skills Candidates must have a keen eye for detail and have high levels of speed & accuracy to support the data entry elements of the role, both alpha and numerical. An ability to plan ahead and work to deadlines in a busy office is essential. Candidates should ideally have a working knowledge of double-entry book-keeping. Candidates for this position should be confident in communicating with clients both in person and on the telephone. The candidate must be proficient in using standard Microsoft IT applications including Word & Outlook and have an excellent understanding of Excel, with an ability to learn new skills. Experience producing metrics and analysis within Excel would be an advantage for the reporting elements of the role. Candidates should be able to work independently and be able to manage/plan work in accordance with scheduled deadlines. Regular working hours are 22.5 hours, days to be negotiated 16.8 Days holiday (Including public holidays) Opportunity to join the company’s workplace pension scheme after 13 weeks Candidates who are invited to interview may be required to complete a short test to confirm their level of Excel & Sage Accounts knowledge.
