Overview
The Company: Leading fast fashion online business is looking for an Assistant Buyer to join their head office in Manchester. To be part of a young and high energy buying team working in a very fast past and exciting environment. Role & Responsibilities: Ensure relevant trends are translated into product range at speed to reflect the brand and customer. Work closely and maintain strong relationships with Merchandising and Design teams to develop a trend led product range overseen by the Buying Manager. Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. Maintain effective communication with category Buyers across the department. Attend and communication key information in trading meetings to maintain a good overall trading of the categories. Build and maintain good relationships with supply base. Generate ideas to impact the business in reference to promotions and markdowns. Provide a high degree of input into product and competitor activity. Ensure the development process is smooth to maintain key deadlines. Maintain all aspects of the critical path with the team to ensure deadlines for key dates and events are achieved. Skills & Experience: Experience in buying womenswear clothing, multi product and non clothing preferably in a fast fashion environment. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure. Proven management skills with the ability to manage junior members of the team and support in development.
