Head of Temporary staff West London £50,000- 58,000 excellent benefits package A leading university is looking for an experienced temps consultant with a background in managing large accounts to head up a small team of recruiters. Your role will be to take ownership of enquiry management at a senior level, managing escalations, and relationship management across the University and externally. You will act as the point of contact for liaising with counterpart roles in HR Compliance and Payroll and Pensions, ensuring a compliant, efficient service for all workers and University staff. Duties will be: Manage the Temporary employee team in delivering the set-up of workers and undertaking pre-employment checks (including Right to Work and Disclosure & Barring Service checks). Lead and support the Temporary employee Service team in consolidating worker hours for submissions to Payroll & Pensions Team, assuming responsibility for the submitted hours. To act as Process Owner for the Temporary business processes, identifying and delivering improvements with the Temporary team. To work with the Head of HR Compliance and Payroll & Pensions Manager to ensure a compliant, efficient process is always delivered to College departments and Temporary Workers. To provide reports and data on the Temporary volumes, for example monitoring work volumes across the academic year The ideal candidate will have experience of: running a temporary staff bank or similar service working in a project team to implement new processes implementing a new system to support management of temporary workers solid knowledge of the right to work requirements in the UK Staff supervisory experience would be ideal but most important is previous experience managing 150 temps ideally in education, charity or government.
