Overview

Our client, one of Newcastle’s top law firms, are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join the Commercial Property team. The successful candidate will ideally work full-time hours, although part-time hours will be considered. The role involves all aspects of secretarial support including the following: providing efficient and effective support to Partners/Fee Earners, typing and using a case management system to produce documents including letters, forms etc, liaising directly with clients and other professionals; making appointments and managing diaries, assisting with post, photocopying, scanning, filing and file management, undertaking administrative tasks including document sorting, paying disbursements and collating information. You will need; A minimum of 4 years legal secretarial experience, Experience of working in commercial property essential, Proven IT skills; experience of using digital dictation and case management and a proficient user of Microsoft Office (in particular Word, basic Excel and Outlook) Experience in creating, amending and formatting large complicated documents. Proven organisational skills which will include organising meetings, diary management and workload prioritisation; Fast, accurate touch-typing speed (at least 60wpm).
