Overview

CEO - Credit Services Association Newcastle, with national travel Six figure package The Credit Services Association is the National Trade Association in the UK for companies active in the debt collection and debt purchase industry. The collections industry has transformed over the last 10 to 15 years, both in terms of operation and perception. The CSA has played a key role in the development of the sector, through raising the bar of best practice and accreditation, working with regulators and members on development and implementation of regulatory requirements, by providing information to indebted individuals and families and engaging government, MPs, consumer groups and other stakeholders in how the sector operates. The CSA’s vision is to build confidence in the debt collection and debt purchase industry amongst member companies and the customers they deal with on a daily basis. Role Successfully lead and champion the Association’s primary roles: representing members at the highest level with external stakeholders to enhance the reputation of the industry; promoting excellence and integrity in standards and culture; and facilitating sharing of best practice. Work closely with the Board in development of policy and strategy, representing the interests and value of the sector and CSA members to Government, the media and the general public Ensure that income, expenditure, investments and budgetary controls are effectively coordinated and controlled Develop, motivate and lead the CSA team, including the Learning & Development subsidiary of the Association. Ensure good governance and maintain awareness of risks and changes that may affect the membership and the organisation in the external environment. Candidate Experience in PR, Public Affairs or lobbying. Track record of successfully building effective working relationships and influence at national level with senior stakeholders and delivering impact and influence through strategic communication based on market data and insight. Knowledge of the consumer financial services sector and its regulatory frameworks and ideally of consumer credit, collections and debt management. Experience of developing and executing successful business plans, including management and monitoring of income, expenditure and investment. Ideally some knowledge and experience of delivering or overseeing knowledge and skills based vocational training. Strong consumer focus and passion for making a difference. Personal flexibility and self-motivation to work in dynamic and effective manner.
