Overview
We are recruiting a Head of Financial Services for an award-winning television production company. This global creative powerhouse has an estimated annual revenue of £1.2 billion and is a leader in its field with 12,000 hours of original programming and over 400 programmes aired each year. It has 370 million subscribers across 1500 social channels and over 100 billion views across all platforms. As the Head of Financial services, you shall manage a large team and have exposure to senior stakeholders across the business. In order to succeed in this role: A Qualified Accountant status (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/or equivalent) Strong background in accounting, particularly in IFRS self-motivated, taking the initiative and driving tasks/ projects through to completion Advanced Excel skills Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable Background in accounting system controls is highly desirable Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to: Management of the General ledger, Cash, AP team, responsible for all aspects of management. Reviewing of financial reporting, analysis, monthly packs, statutory accounts and VAT returns in an accurate and efficient way Actively reviewing the FX result for the UK Managing relationships across the business both internally and externally. Playing a key role in financial systems reviews Overseeing and approving the funding and investing activities of the UK entities.
