Overview

We have a new opportunity for a Consultant to join a Birmingham based consultancy providing advice to clients in the property, development and occupier sectors on tax incentives. Primarily this involves providing advice on capital allowances, land remediation relief and research & development allowances. We're looking for an individual who has already gained experience either as a Quantity Surveyor or as a Building Surveyor but looking to move into a more specialised advisory field. This might therefore be a new challenge; no previous experience is necessary providing you have a relevant degree in Building Surveying or Quantity Surveying and around 2-3 years experience in either discipline. Full training and support is on offer as you gain experience in this field including the taxation route to APC qualification if applicable. The successful candidate will be assisting in the preparation of tax claims for capital allowances and land remediation relief working with a wide variety of clients including many of the UK's largest house builders, regeneration companies, investors and owner occupiers. We are looking for a good understanding of construction processes and technology and strong core surveying skills. This role would also appeal to an individual with strong analytical skills and a process driven approach. Strong team working skills are also of vital importance. This really is an exciting challenge for someone looking to step away from a project surveying role but wanting to use their experience in a more specialist, value add area of surveying. Our client offers a great team environment in a dynamic market sector often involved with real innovators in the construction industry working at the cutting edge of modern construction techniques. They also offer a great working environment able to support real flexibility and work life balance.
