Overview
A dynamic Life and Health insurance business is searching for an experienced Life actuary to lead the Valuation team. About the Role This is a leadership role so you will take strategic responsibility for analysing actuarial experience, trends, profitability drivers and capital requirements. You will also take the lead in communicating the financial impact of shared value insurance to the Group's businesses. Reporting IFRS and EV reporting and analysis Calculation of VIF and VNB P&L analysis Managing external relationships Production of 5 year budget projections Assumption reviews Production of reports for Actuarial Committee meetings and presentation at the committee(s) Valuation Methodology and modelling changes New product modelling Skills Required Essential Qualified life actuary Industry experience PQE reporting experience in a protection business Experienced team manager In-depth experience of how a shared value model is allowed for in actuarial valuations Strong Prophet modelling knowledge is essential Able to produce complex valuation, experience and EV reports Understand the actuarial dynamics of shared value insurance and wellness programmes and how these are allowed for in actuarial valuations Desirable VIF/EV reporting on a Solvency I and Solvency II basis IFRS reporting Financial reinsurance SII capital modelling and calculation of SCR and RM Different risk reinsurance structures and collateral arrangements including deposit backs Part VII transfer of business
