Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Childcare Paralegal to join a West London Borough Council on a 3-month locum basis. The contract is expected to extend beyond this initial period. This is a great opportunity for a Childcare Paralegal, especially those based in West London. The Childcare Paralegal will be taking on a range of duties such as supporting the wider childcare team in their caseloads, dealing with matters such as care orders, non-molestation orders, care cases and pre-proceedings. Further duties will include the Childcare Paralegal handling their own caseload of Section 7s and Section 37s. The Council offices are conveniently located right by a range of public transport links, making them easily accessible from London and outside of London. Further, there are amenities such as of cafes and shops within a very short walk of the offices. The Council offer flexible working arrangements to their employees. In terms of experience, our client requires that the Childcare Paralegal should have experience of public childcare law, in particular Section 7s and 37s, as they will be holding their own caseload of these matters. Prior experience of working in a local authority is highly desirable for this position, but is not a vital requirement.
