Overview

LAW Absolute are recruiting on an exclusive basis to a Childcare Advocate role with a local authority based in London. Our client is seeking a Childcare Advocate on a permanent basis to start as soon as possible. The successful Childcare Advocate will ideally have previous local government experience and have conducted hearings lasting up to 10 days. You will join the councils in house advocacy team and will work alongside a team of expert advocates on all social services matters including all aspects of public law proceedings. The Childcare Advocate will be responsible for providing high level advice and assistance in Social Services Law. It is essential that you are able to support the Principal Lawyer in reducing expenditure on Counsel. It is not envisaged that the successful candidate will be responsible for retaining their own case files as advocacy will be the primary purpose of the position. Experience undertaking advocacy is essential. This is not a training opportunity role. Candidates must have a current practising certificate in order to be considered. Our client is ideally looking for someone able to start a role within the next few months. Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role. At LAW Absolute we endeavour to respond to all applications within 48 hours. However due to the volume of applications we receive we may not be able to respond to every candidate individually. If you have not heard from us within a 48 hour timeframe your application has not been successful and your details have not been retained. LAW Absolute acts as an employment business for temporary recruitment and as an employment agency for fixed term contract and permanent recruitment.
