Overview
Vacancy- Network Engineer Location- Reading Term- Permanent Salary- Up to £60,000 per annum (Depending on experience) My client, a well known organisation based in Reading are looking for a Network Engineer to come on board and add to their growing team of professionals. As the Network Engineer, you will manage and support internal networks, implement new technologies whilst working in the DevOps team to drive and build services. If you have experience working as a Network Engineer with any experience/understanding of DevOps fundamentals, I would love to hear from you The Network Engineer you will have some of the following attributes: Experience working as a Network Support Engineer Experience supporting WAN Strong experience troubleshooting networks Experience working with network monitoring and diagnostic tools VPN and firewall experience Cisco security experience- ASA, Firepower, ISE etc Experience working with any configuration Management tools- Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Jenkins etc Any scripting knowledge would be beneficial- Bash, Python, PowerShell would be beneficial but not necessary Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes etc would be beneficial but not necessary As Network Engineer some of your duties will include: Main point of contact for any network related issues Increase network performance Secure network firewalls Design, build, secure and maintain networks Research and plan requirements for future network developments Monitor and identify for potential issues, acting when necessary Design and implement new solutions Work closely with the DevOps Manager and Technical leads Work with the DevOps team to build and maintain services that can be delivered to clients whilst looking at ways to automate the internal environment, working with technologies like Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Jenkins etc As the Network Engineer, your benefits will include: Up to £60,000 salary depending on experience Generous holiday package Progression and training opportunities Pension scheme, Life Insurance and Income Protection If you are interested in this Network Engineer position based in Reading, please apply with an up to date CV ASAP
