Overview

Senior Technical Project Manager Up to £65,000 Bonus Benefits Kings cross I am currently working with a client that is seeking a 'Senior Technical Project manager' to join their NetOps team. This client is a leading property management company, working on a new iconic building in London for a world-renowned client. This role will be integral in the delivery of all IT Infrastructure from the ground up (MDF/IDF, cabling, power, cooling). This role will involve working closely with the client Technical Program Manager (TPM/PM) to ensure design and build match client specifications. Scope of role: Work with construction project team to understand physical design requirements, including MDF/IDF qty, location and layout. Design passive cabling infrastructure and coordinate with network engineers on network design and WiFi Design. Creation of infrastructure design package using client design guidelines Manage implementation of design package (voice/data infrastructure such as fibre, cabling, power and cooling for server rooms and IDFs) during project execution phase, achieve agreed project success criteria Drafting and issue project proposals, RFPs and preliminary schedules Update project management tools on a weekly basis with project status, risks and issues. Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team Manage design changes of minimal impact, escalate to TPM owner as necessary Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained Keep the Technical Program/Project Manager (TPM) informed on project status Keep other stakeholders informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations Required skill / experience: NetOps team experience Knowledge and experience of Data Centre builds IDF/MDF equipment (Racks, cable pathways) Extensive knowledge of server room requirements: physical space, cooling & power implementation of design package (voice/data infrastructure such as fibre, cabling, power and cooling for server rooms and IDFs) 5 years of Agile Project Management (ideally with construction industry experience) PMP (or equivalent) Relevant RCDD or CNET equivalent qualification CNIDP or similar If interested, please send an up to date CV and call 02034650094 Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
