Transport Team Manager, Motherwell, £30,000-£33,000 Your new company An opportunity to join a leading distribution company who are going through a significant time of growth. They currently have a vacancy for a Transport Team Manager on a rotational shift on any 5 of 7 . The role will be backshift position from 1400-2200. Our client has a strong reputation for customer service and as they continue to grow they need to recruit and develop the right people. Your new role This is a very hands on role and will require you to be readily available and get involved - it will help you to very quickly identify where things can be improved and developed so that we drive business forward across both departments. You will be dedicated to ensuring the workforce is engaged, well managed and perform to the highest standards against their business set key performance indicators. What you'll need to succeed Experience of working in transport setting with an understanding of the warehouse environment. Excellent management style - encouraging, inspiring and enabling the team around you to be the very best they can be. An innovative approach to leadership - being creative and implementing new ways to improve performance.The ability to identify and evaluate potential risks and develop solutions. A good understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics. Having a good understanding of computer and transport management systems. Excellent relationship building skills. The desire to fully embrace being part of a wider team - happy to lend a hand to others where needed. What you'll get in return Salary of between £30,000 and £33,000 plus a shift allowance .
