Overview

Software Project Manager with a strong implementation background , required for a growing and new SaaS company in Edinburgh. The Company: An out and out SaaS business, they have spun out from another organisation and are definitely at the 'scale-up' phase. The software product they deliver is like no other and is genuinely pushing the boundaries of IT and what people have deemed possible over the last few years. They're specialist approach and modern mindset make them an extremely interesting company and they are looking for creative and like-minded people to join them. A huge amount of what they do is based on data, with their software product offering insights like no other. Based in the most modern offices in central Edinburgh, they offer the opportunity to join before things really take off. They are only at the beginning of attracting new clients and with an already valuable and notable client base, they're excited about the potential of where they can go. As they are a new company, this role offers autonomy and they want employees to have strong minds and to contribute to new ideas and the direction of the organisation. The role: This role is very much focused on implementation of the SaaS product. You will be on client site regularly and will have had experience in implementing software solutions, from a Project Management/Business Analyst perspective. As you will be dealing with the client a lot, having a consultancy background would stand you in really good stead. With any software implementation, there will be resistance involved and you will need to have very strong stakeholder management skills in order to potentially talk people round and deal with this - tenacity is key. This role will be ideal for a Software Project Manager who understands the 'BA piece', whilst implementing a tough piece of software (aka the implementation didn't run without its difficulties - natural for any new product). Key Skills and Experience: Work with the customer to understand their current project needs, data and ways of working. Use your background and experience in delivery to transition into new ways of working Working in Agile/Waterfall environments A strong Software Project Management background/knowledge of Business Analyst processes Definite background in Project Managing Software Implementations (key) Work with users and ensure that they are trained and up to date on the software functionality and best practices Requirements gathering for portfolio reporting, working with the visualisation team in order to develop customised dashboards for individual clients Provide post go-live support and work alongside peers to make sure customer relations are continuing at a high-level Consultancy background beneficial This is an opportunity to join a very forward-thinking business, with unlimited scope and potential.
