Software Engineering Manager - Mobile Development Sainsbury's Bank, Lochside, Edinburgh In a nutshell As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of mobile engineers (iOS & Android) and help drive the development of mobile applications and tools across production and non-production environments. What you need to do * Defines work and advises on tasks for the Mobile Development team. * Drives improvements in community content, health, and moderated discussion. * Serve as the ultimate problem solver and final stop for troubleshooting issues. * Responsible for the line management, coaching, and guidance of the Mobile Development team as well as provide daily direction for the team of junior to senior contributors. * Guide and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation questioning where needed. * Clarify and communicate stakeholder goals. * Facilitates the delivery of short-term assignments and goals that contribute to the successful achievement of functional/business area goals. What you need to know and show * You will have managed a team of mobile developers (iOS and/or Android) in an Agile environment * Experience of mobile application development. * Understanding of automated testing in a Test Driven Development (TDD) environment * Understanding of Architectural patterns (MVVP, MVM), Encryption and Security Standards * Understand the value in different ways of working and continuously review and improve on inefficiencies. * You will be inquisitive - Taking an active interest in what's going on in the business. * You will be proactive - Taking action and making decisions based on the greatest positive impact. * You will be a community contributor - Volunteering time, abilities, and skills to benefit others. * You will be dissentient - Challenging the status quo, encouraging innovation and disruption!
