You will be part of a proactive technology team built on the ethos of continuous improvement and will be offered a full training programme. This is as much about your contribution to a happy, collaborative environment, as it is technical excellence. Our product portfolio delivers deep data insight via new web applications to leading property professionals across the UK. We work heavily with Amazon services, MEAN Stack, TeamCity, Puppet and more. As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you’ll join a cross functional team building compelling online data products, with exciting technologies – we are currently very much into Elastic and Immutable Architecture (dynamic provisioning). We have high standards. Getting through the door isn’t easy, but once you’re here you’ll get to work with some of the best technologists around. Skills & Requirements: Essential: · Aptitude and enthusiasm to learn new infrastructure as code and DevOps technologies and techniques. · Experience working in a DevOps / Infrastructure as code environment, ideally in the following areas (although full training can be provided): o Working with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery tools in a production environment (such as TeamCity / Jenkins / GitLab CI). o Linux (CentOS 7 upwards preferred). o Automated provisioning of AWS services (especially EC2, SQS, SNS) using Terraform / CloudFormation. o Configuration management using tools such as Puppet / Chef. · Good scripting skills (Bash, Python etc.). · Experience with source code management tools (e.g. Git). · Used to working in a team environment with good interpersonal skills. Desirable: · Experience with: o Agile and Lean methodologies. o Mongo DB. o Node.js ecosystem. o Docker / Kubernetes. o Elastic Search. o ELK Stack. o AWS Lambda. o Monitoring tools (such as Nagios).
