Overview
Harrison Holgate are working with a internationally renowned insurer who are looking to recruit an Assistant Underwriter for their Commercial Property division based in the City of London. This is a brand new opportunity in a highly successful and growing team, responsible for writing big ticket commercial property business in the UK and for multinational accounts. There are a broad range of responsibilities and this position will support the senior underwriters with pre-underwriting tasks and writing of profitable business. The ideal candidate will have five years' experience in the insurance market, either in an underwriting assistant role and looking for the next step, or in an Assistant Underwriter role looking for a fast-paced role that will support and encourage development. Property underwriting experience is not essential and those studying towards ACII will be preferred. Candidates will need to have a high level of numeracy and a proven understanding of underwriting procedures.
