Overview

A Business Development Manager with a proven track record of success ideally within the construction and/or Health and Safety industry, required for an innovative health and safety organisation. Job Duties will include but not be limited to: To assist with the development of a new department, primarily UK based but with the expectation that will go on to develop markets in Europe and the USA with the expectation of travel Take a proactive role to identify new business areas and revenue streams Follow up on all sales leads related to enquiries Manage existing clients to ensure complete customer satisfaction and the opportunity to build solid long-term relationships, whilst identifying further sales opportunities To build an excellent understanding of the marketplace and the competitors within that space Build an advanced product knowledge Research, generate new business leads and sales Cross sell products and services to existing customers Provide support for other departments when required Cold calling new, existing and dormant clients to arrange appointments Upload all correspondence and sales activities to CRM database on a daily basis Co-ordinate activities to achieve agreed goals and exceed targets Attend on-site client sales visits when required Carry out client surveys demonstrations as and when require Provide weekly/monthly report on activities and financial performance Assist with the development and Internationalisation of the products Experience: The individual will preferably be able to demonstrate relevant successful Sales/Business Development Management experience within the business to business/construction industry or similar Nebosh/IOSH qualification would be an advantage or relevant Health & Safety knowledge The individual will preferably be educated to GCSE/O’HND level and can demonstrate sound business acumen and commercial skills An interest in technology/engineered products and systems for industrial applications is essential A personal, professional and business-like manner, together with a strong desire to achieve key objectives and targets Committed and willing to travel throughout the UK and internationally on occasions Excellent communication/presentation skills both verbal and written coupled with a good working knowledge of Word and Excel are essential Ability to understand working drawings a distinct advantage The individual must have afull driving licence K2 Recruitment are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
