Overview
Finance Manager job for a Transport / Freight business in Liverpool. £45000 to £65000. Your new company A successful and expanding transport business with it's own fleet has an exciting vacancy for a Finance Manager to join their team. This business has grown significantly through acquisition in recent years and has a high quality and stable customer base. Your new role As Finance Manager you will report to the Managing Director of the business. You will manage a team of 6 in the accounts department and will ensure accurate and timely monthly management accounting information is produced. You will have excellent analytical skills and strong financial control skills to ensure that the key costs of fuel and labour are captured and reported on. Experience of working on interfaces between finance and operational systems would be a distinct advantage. You will be a business partner to the MD and senior management team and will advise on new contracts and the profitability of existing customers. What you'll need to succeed You must have significant experience of working in a transport business that manages it's own fleet. Ideally you will be a qualified accountant although QBE accountants will also be considered. If you have any knowledge of the TOPS fuel system this would equally be an advantage.
