There are two sides to Digital Audit Digital Auditing Teams using our latest tools to help digitise the way we deliver audits through automation, AI, data analytics and innovation, as well as using PwC developed tools and industry leading software, to audit our clients. Auditing Digital Teams auditing our clients’ Digital technology to give them assurance that the right security and controls are in place. This includes Cloud, Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, Robotics Process Automation (RPA), Big Data, etc. You will work on the audit of end-to-end processes and assess how digital solutions are utilised, controlled and optimised. PwC’s Digital Audit team will give you a unique opportunity to experience all aspects of the audit from finance to technology. You'll develop a strong understanding of the role that Digital Audit plays in the modern day audit and how new technologies are deployed and controlled within business. In practice, you'll understand and test IT systems and controls, deliver technology enabled audit including the latest on advanced analytics, process control and automation and the use of innovative tools. What you’ll do As a Digital Audit Financial Services Senior Associate, you'll spend the majority of your time focussing on the IT systems and controls of the audit or ‘Auditing Digital’. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and technologies, focussing on how technology auditing supports the financial audit of our clients. You’ll need to be a people person, tenacious and resilient. You’ll have exposure to contacts such as financial controllers, heads of IT or finance directors. You’ll be checking IT systems to ensure they are appropriately controlled by management and that data produced is accurate. You’ll need to be confident challenging and being open to challenge. Digital Audit work is investigative and you’ll regularly speak with clients, using in-person meetings or leading-edge collaborative technology, to support your conversations. You’ll be part of a team, taking real responsibility for the work you do and supporting those around you to do the same. Your work will be client focussed, which can mean travelling to client sites, and will involve working to deadlines. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to Delivering complex technology audits; Proactively assisting in the management of several clients and teams; Training, coaching and leading junior staff; Establishing effective working relationships directly with clients; Contributing to the development of your own and your team's technical acumen; Keeping up to date with local and national business and economic issues; and Continuing to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand. Requirements Experience in evaluating technology that supports financial & operational systems and related business processes; External auditing experience, including evaluating controls over financial and/or IT/operational processes; Experience in managing junior colleagues and an interest in developing others; Experience in working in complex environments; Experience in the financial services sector is preferable (Banking and Capital Markets, Insurance or Asset and Wealth Management); Strong time management skills, including flexibility to work with shifting priorities and client needs; Project management and analytical skills; Client relationship-building and management skills; Strong verbal, presentation and report writing skills; Leadership qualities; University Degree. Preferable experience and qualifications ACA and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification, or equivalent; Specialist system experience (i.e. SAP, Oracle, SQL, Python). Locations As a National Business, we have Financial Services teams in a number of locations. This role is open to candidates looking for a permanent position in; Birmingham, Manchester or London.
