Overview
OnCue have been in business for over 30 years, covering millions of miles transporting patients in both public and private healthcare, and working in partnership with respected organisations such as DHL Healthcare and Falck. Our MediCab® service is designed to provide superior transport to those with medical or mobility needs. We don't just drive with care; we're driven by care. Due to recent expansion of our MediCab® fleet, we are seeking Patient Transport and Ambulance Drivers (or as we call them, Driver Companions) on a self-employed basis. We are offering an immediate start for the right applicants with paid training. Hours of work are variable dependant on need but averaging 12 hours per day during main operational hours - 06:00 to 23:59, Monday to Saturday. You will be responsible for: Driving patients to and from non-emergency medical appointments throughout the UK as agreed with the controllers - these could be at NHS or private hospitals/clinics. Ensuring you deliver a service that is in-line with the CQC Training we will provide you with; safe, caring, responsive and well-led. Driving in accordance with the Highway Code and in a manner that is both safe and legal. Being a brand ambassador for OnCue as a business, ensuring you meet and represent our core values at all times. Required Attributes and Skills: A desire to care whilst earning, our passengers can be amongst the most vulnerable and need expert assistance from their driver; the right attitude is the most important attribute. Good all-round communication skills Ability to use App based operating systems Good team player Flexible approach to work and working hours Ability to work on your own initiative Clean, Full, UK Driving Licence Good command of the English Language - other Languages will be beneficial but not required Over 25 years of age - Insurance requirement Reasonable physical well being Benefits Paid First Aid and Manual Handling Training - 5 days, £50 per day, travel expenses paid Flexible hours Guaranteed income - based on a 60 hour working week Vehicle provided with fuel card No return to base take vehicle home at end of shift The services comes under the remit of the Resource and Fleet Department; therefore, you will liaise with the Resource and Fleet Manager and/or his/her appointed representatives.
