Overview

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE To assist in ensuring that all products produced and filled are to the approved specification and to an acceptable quality. Working with other departments - Production and Filling. Carrying out tests on bulk manufactured products. Ensuring the company’s QC procedures and policies are carried out always. Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment in the Laboratory. Ensuring that required stock is maintained in the Laboratory. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Adhere to Company policies and Health & Safety Regulations Carrying out testing of Bulk manufactured products ensuring they meet specification. Seeking advice from Technical Manager and Chemists when needed. Carrying out inspections of components, labels and raw materials as required. Maintaining accurate and full Quality Control records. Assisting the Technical Manager to ensure a high level of Quality Control is maintained always and that all procedures are being adhered to. Calibration of pH meters and other testing equipment as required. Maintaining the laboratory equipment to a high standard of cleanliness and operating ability. Maintaining good housekeeping at all times within the Laboratory area and helping others in other areas to ensure high standards are maintained. Carry out tasks as required by the Technical Manager. In his/her absence you may take instruction from other Laboratory Staff. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS On site training provided with the opportunity to gain qualifications through a company sponsored Distance Learning Course. QUALIFICATIONS GCSE in English, Maths and Chemistry or Double Science (minimum). KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS Excellent numeracy, literacy and organisational skills. Excellent spoken and written communication skills. Good computer skills. Ability to work as part of a team as well as being self-motivated. The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
