Overview
My client is seeking a legal assistant/paralegal to join their busy residential conveyancing department situated a short distance from Manchester city centre. The office is within walking distance of the local tram station as well as having close parking options available. The role will see you support an experienced fee earner with their caseload of of sales & purchase, remortgage, equity release, new builds, right to buy and other residential property transactions. You will be assisting on all duties from inception to completion but experience of dealing with SDLT submissions, land registry searches, drafting contracts and liaising with clients on a regular basis. You will be bright and enthusiastic with outstanding academics, and a desire to get things done. Due to the nature of the role, you will also need to have had at least 1 years' experience gained within a busy residential conveyancing department. There will be opportunities to progress and move into a fee earning role as this firm do provide fantastic training to junior staff and actively support career progression. They can provide support if you want to qualify as a Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive or Solicitor. Salary will be dependant on experience, although up to £20,000 for the right person.
