Senior to Associate Mechanical Design Engineer | Exeter | Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 Your new company An opportunity has arisen with this major global consultancy who are seeking a Senior, Principal or Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to take a leading role in delivering projects. Their major projects team is involved in education, defence, data-centres and cities & development. You'll be joining their Exeter office which has created a culture where people stay for a long time and really develop as engineers, both through soft skills and technically. They work on large scale, industry leading projects both within the UK and globally. This consultancy is focused on developing all staff at all levels. This role will allow development of existing technical skills as well as providing potential to expand digital skills and project management. Your new role You'll be involved in the national practice of Building Design delivering a variety of design solutions to a variety of clients across a variety of sectors. Based out of the Exeter office, you'll be joining the mechanical team of a busy MEP team, with a stable supply of work due to it being an international consultancy work flow is always strong. You will design and specify mechanical systems in buildings across a variety of sectors, with most projects offering a technical or creative challenge. You will be supported by directors but will be given ownership of your own work. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role you'll be a highly creative Mechanical Building Services Engineer and have experience in either a consultancy or contractor setting. You'll need to be able to show experience of design and specification of Mechanical Building Services systems - heating, cooling, ventilation, controls etc. You will need to be software proficient in a variety of industry software.
