Interim FM / M&E Project Manager for a 6 month opportunity in Birmingham Your new company You will be working for a large public services organisation with a large estate based in Birmingham. Your new role You will be working as a go between for Engineering maintenance and the Capital Works department for their Soft Landings projects. This involves working with the Capital team to look at the backlog on defects from the construction phase for a number of major projects that are coming into operational estates and working to ensure these defects are logged via BIM for defect management for additional works, working with the FM providers and ensuring the right set up for ongoing maintenance requirements, asset tagging and entry to CAFM system. You will ideally have a good all round background on both capital works and new build projects but also have experience in operational maintenance as the scope of the role does cross over and good knowledge of both will really help you to deliver in the role. There are a number of existing recent completed projects with a backlog of defects and a pipeline of future completions coming over as well. What you'll need to succeed Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience is essential. So ideally a degree or HND / HNC in Electrical or mechanical or building services engineering is also required. Strong negotiation skills Good construction contracts knowledge Strong statutory compliance and SFG . What you'll get in return There is a long term contract on offer with the organisation at 6 months but potentially longer for the right person. There is a lot of technical work within the role and it will be challenging but rewarding.
