Overview
Permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor, Nottinghamshire Contractor, Sites in Yorkshire, Residential New Build Your new company You will be working for the residential new build arm of a reputable and successful contractor that operate UK wide. The projects will be inclusive of traditional build housing and mid to high rise apartments across 3 individual sites which are in close proximity. Due to continued success in the market my client are seeking a permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team. Your new role In order to be successful in the role you will have a strong permanent history in a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor role within residential new build projects for Main Contractors delivering social housing projects. Ideally you will have experience of NEC 3 form of contract. You will have the ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously and have both private and social hosing experience. The initial site is due to start within the next couple of months, as such the opportunity exists for the successful candidate to shape the full scheme of works. General duties will include Carrying out accurate build cost assessments of acquired land; maintain budget control throughout development; and manage cost overruns within tolerance levels, Accurate costing and preparation of budgets, reporting on costs and cash flow vs budget, Preparing tenders and procure sub-contractors, goods and materials. You will also be evaluating and agreeing variations and instructions. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in the role you will have a strong background as a Quantity Surveyor running residential projects for a main contractor. You will have a full UK driving license and ideally an academic qualification in a construction related discipline. The role will require travel to sites within the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. What you'll get in return The salary of between £48,000 and £54,000 benefits package dependant on previous experience.
