Overview
Discovery Architect Polar Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading IT Services client for a Discovery Architect to join a highly successful Consultancy Practice to support Datacentre transformation, migration and Cloud assessment projects involving application / service / infrastructure Discovery. Responsibilities The Discovery Architect will be tasked with; Leading large scale transformation assignments from presales through solution design & costing. Providing expertise in the discovery of key infrastructure, applications and services, Discovery process definition and Discovery tool selection. Identification and interviewing of customer stakeholders Transformation and migration design and planning Defining customer and project Discovery processes Working in partnership with internal teams - including leading/mentoring peers - and customer stakeholders Skills & Experience The Discovery Architect will have; Previous experience in a similar Architect position with an enterprise IT Services or Consultancy environment, encompassing presales, solution design and costing Proven enterprise consulting expertise, including migration and transformation strategies/solutions. Proven ability to ascertain and document detailed IT applications / services / infrastructure dependencies Strong knowledge of Discovery tools (e.g. BMC Discovery/ADDM, TADDM, HP Universal Discover, CloudScape, VROps, Lanamark, ScienceLogic or similar) and techniques. Superb communication skills, including strong documentation and presentation skills Knowledge of relevant principles and methodologies - e.g. ITIL / Prince2 / RAID / Dependency planning and management / Risk assessment / Application Migration Strategies Full clean Driving Licence and willing to travel widely for assignments.
