This role is current home working but will ordinarily be office based in Cambridge Big Data Engineer - Drug Discovery - Cambridge A Cambridge based organisation are looking for a Data Engineer with the ability to make a difference on a large scale. This hands-on role will involve working extensively with Python, building data pipelines to support TBs of clinical data. Working as part of a high energy, research focused Data team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership over your work, driving the direction of cloud and big data within the organisation. You will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary agile team, exposed to Data Science, AI and DevOps tools. Role & Responsibilities * Building data pipelines using programming languages such as Python * Working with ETL tools such as Informatica * Utilising cloud based services such as AWS or GCP * Storing data in a range of SQL and NoSQL databases Skills & Qualifications * Significant commercial experience as a Data Engineer * Strong knowledge of Python programming including building data pipelines * Working knowledge of cloud-based technology (AWS, Azure or GCP) * Exposure to a range of databases including some of but not limited to: MongoDB, SQL Server, MySQL Benefits * Considerable scope for progression in a fast moving industry * Generous employer pension contribution scheme * Share options Apply Now
