Overview
Senior Practitioner (Children's Qualified Social Worker) | Fostering Service, Children's Services | Birmingham Senior practitioner to work in line with delivering the trust and fostering agency Improvements plan in line with the requirements and recommendations of recent fostering agency inspection Jan 2019 and Fostering Agency/Trust development improvement plans. You will be required to work within and meet all regulatory legislative framework requirements for fostering agencies and ensure safeguarding of all children in the fostering agency is paramount. The senior practitioner role encompasses the following: Managing daily duty rota and screening support calls/enquiries/allocating duty work to the team; Supporting team members and colleagues with complex cases; Developing and facilitating family ties training for connected persons and special guardians; Supervising agency staff to support the manager; Contributing to developing the family and friends guidance, policies, procedures (e.g. one minute guides) Raising awareness of private fostering in Birmingham across multi-agencies; Supporting senior practitioners when required (assessment duty); Holding case responsibility for a number of complex cases.
