Overview
Workshop Technician - Motor Racing You will be joining a well-established company based in Slough, Berkshire who are looking for a Workshop Technician to join their successful, growing team. As a manufacturer and designer of components for the Motorsport industry, this is an exciting place to work with a variety of clients within the Formula One and Rally worlds. You’ll be working within a knowledgeable team who share a passion for ensuring the highest standards of customer service whilst working in a time critical, constantly changing environment. It’s a specialised, growing sector so there is always lots to learn and there is good opportunity to develop your career. This role would suit either an experienced individual or someone looking to expand their assembly knowledge in a professional, forward thinking business. We are looking for a candidate who can work in a busy environment whilst producing high quality, accurate work. You will have exceptional attention to detail with the ability to think on your feet and keep calm in a role where deadlines change on a daily basis THE OPPORTUNITY: Responsible for carrying out mechanical assembly of components and fittings Welding components (TIG/MIG) Using machine tools Identifying opportunities to improve quality and productivity YOU: You will ideally come from a manufacturing environment with high quality standards where you are used to assembling precision components and fittings This is a very fast paced role so you must be able to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines. You will be able to understand drawings and specifications and weld components Experience in toolmaking would be an advantage Able to measure accurately in both metric and imperial Experience of using machine tools (lathe / mill) HOURS: Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm. Compeitive basic salary, pension and free on-site parking.
