An AI start-up based in Bristol is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join their growing team. They are looking for someone technically strong who can bridge the gap between management and the development team. You will still be hands-on, and you won’t be asked to people manage however you will be on hand to direct the team and offer advice on approaches. You will be working on Greenfield projects across a variety of tech stacks so this would really suit a polyglot developer who is happy working across different technologies. What skills you’ll need Strong communication skills are essential. Experience with OOP languages C#, Python, C++ etc or Android. Experience juggling multiple projects at one time. Ability to pick up technologies quickly. Bonus skills Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, GCP). DevOps and DevSecOps. Kotlin. What you’ll be doing This is an exciting business with interesting projects using cutting edge technologies but as the company grows there is a real focus on communication across the teams. You will help to bridge this gap. You will be carrying out development as well as being the technical point of contact for the team. You will be using a wide range of tech and be working on some of the most interesting projects globally from machine learning and deep learning to lean services architecture. What you’ll get in return for your experience On offer is a salary between £60,000 - £80,000, you will also receive a benefits package, an on-site gym, flexible/ remote working, free food and drink.
