Overview
Implementation Consultant – Software Applications This is a hands-on technical role you will be managing the implementation of the company’s Software applications for both pilot and fully commissioned ‘go lives’. The Implementation Consultant / IT Project Manager will be an integral part of the consulting team. The company specialise in implementing scheduling and optimisation solutions for the maritime industry. Our client is seeking an implementation consultant to join their team in Basingstoke, Hampshire. As a part of their implementation team, you will be designing, configuring, testing, implementing and supporting their software suite of products. You will be working daily to problem solve and create personalised solutions for their customers and will be expected to work both independently and as a part of a team to deliver robust solutions to a wide variety of customers around the globe. You must be self-motivated, tenacious, and a natural problem solver. It is essential that you have experience working in IT project management or consultancy, you have a keen eye for detail and are adept at understanding and documenting a customer’s technical requirements. This role requires you to travel to customer sites, to capture requirements, provide training and support the go-live process. There will be some travel UK and overseas. Skills & Qualifications required for role of implementation Consultant : · Highly motivated and driven, High energy and a passion for products and people · Commercially astute, Previous experience in IT implementation or Consultancy and a demonstrable track record of achievement · Can communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation as well as contribute confidently within a team, adapting my style to suit the audience · Flexible to travel within the UK and overseas (occasional) · 2-5 years IT Implementation experience · Highly organised and with the ability to deliver to set timelines · Excellent problem solving and analytical skills · Continually strive to provide innovative ideas and use initiative · Project Management qualifications, approved by APM/PMI is useful · Degree or equivalent technical experience · Software skills would be an asset C#, Web API, ASP.Net Key Responsibilities for role of Implementation Consultant: Managing end-to-end implementation projects. Consulting with customers to understand their business challenges and objectives Gathering and documenting detailed requirements Configuring, testing and delivering the agreed solution Working with internal and external technical teams to ensure any required interfaces and development is delivered on time Providing post implementation consultancy to new and existing customers Supporting User Acceptance Testing Ensuring all projects are delivered successfully on time Be highly motivated and driven, commercially astute and have excellent communication skills Building long term client relationships and trust Managing change requests and delivering change Highly organised and able to deliver to set timescales Providing first- and second-line support to new and existing customers Providing post implementation consultancy to new and existing customers Support pre-sales activity where required.
