Overview

Business Development Manager (FEA SIMULATION /ELECTROMAGNETICS) A new vacancy for a Business Development Manager with specialist provider ENGINEERING SIMULATION technologies. These technologies are supplied using a combination of software, consulting, training and support services to address a wide variety of projects ranging from handheld devices to vehicles. The company is currently looking for an ambitious and dedicated Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, your main focus will be sales of products and services related to the Computational Electromagnetic modules of a well-known FEA package. However, you will also be free to sell the company's other products and services, including its full range of simulation products and functional safety & reliability engineering products and services. The opportunity for sales of software and services to support the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) technology by both existing and new clients is significant and this position offers a unique opportunity to drive this forward within the company. Essential skills: An understanding of ELECTRONIC DEVICES and/or ELECTRICAL SYSTEM design and SIMULATION, preferably with industry knowledge in one or more of the following applications: PCB Signal Integrity (SI)/ power integrity (PI) applications Radio Frequency (RF) applications Antennas EMC/EMI Electrical machines An understand of legislation controlling the development of electrical equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present solutions clearly and convincingly to both large and small, technical and non-specialist, audiences at a senior level. Self-motivation and the drive to surpass sales targets. Good team-player who can work effectively commercial and technical colleagues. Familiarity with the engineering markets Desirable skills: Previous B2B sales experience with blue chip companies and SMEs. Qualified to degree level in an electrical, electronics or mechatronics engineering discipline or physics. Experience in the use of ANSYS, similar engineering simulation software or ECAD. Either based out of one of the company's 3 UK offices or working from home, the company offers a 37-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 25 days, plus 8 statutory, paid holidays per year, competitive base salary, plus uncapped performance-related commission, pension scheme and flexi-time working.
