Client Side HS&E Manager – Central London – Up To £50,000 This vacancy is for a HS&E Manager based in Central London in an extremely high-quality office space of around 250,000 sq.ft. The offices offer a lively and friendly place to work with their people being at the forefront of what they do. My client is looking for a stimulating, talented, experienced, charismatic and highly skilled HS&E Manager to lead the sites health and safety. As the HS&E Manager responsible for the UK & Global Head Office, the individual will play a significant role as the face and voice of the business and will lead by example demonstrating the highest levels of service and compliance. You will also be part of creating an award-winning team and office space. Playing a leading role ensuring the Head Offices are well maintained, well presented, safe, and secure. Role · Achieving and maintaining appropriate H&S Management system accreditations · Maintaining and expanding Environmental Management system accreditations in line with employers Global environmental strategy and the Social Impact function · Developing and working with regional office leaders and Office/Facilities Manager as appropriate to ensure all employers activities are suitably risk assessed, and brands and locations are regularly audited with non-conformities logged to ensure compliance and provide accurate UK Market & local, Exec/board level HSE reporting · Ensuring our people are competent and fully trained in HSE to undertake their duties as required · Developing systems and processes at a market level for implementation at a local level and supporting the implementation process through to completion. Alignment with UK Market level policy and systems is the responsibility of local management. However, the HSE Compliance Manager UK&I is responsible for ensuring alignment and where required providing expert advice, support and consultation as the UK&I HSE subject matter expert · Responsible for delivering an annual UK&I audit programme of all activity and areas of the business and ensuring the responsible persons · Supporting bids, PQQ’s, RFI’s and winning work for the business · Supporting or where necessary undertaking risk assessments for high profile/large scale or high-risk activity Essentials · Health and Safety qualified – minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate (NGC) or equivalent required · Demonstrable experience working with OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 H&S management systems · Full understanding and knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work act 1974 and The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (the Management Regulations) · Incident/accident investigation and reporting · Workstation assessment training · Train the trainer experience · Risk assessment training · Demonstrable experience working with ISO14001 EMS · Experience of ESOS and working with other environmental legislation · Demonstrable experience around carbon footprint reporting · Experienced internal auditor, qualification preferred · Experience of integrated management systems · Project management · Knowledge of market technology, working practice and solutions · Ability to influence people and experience working across a diverse UK portfolio This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89616294
