Overview

A large public sector developer who build residential, private rental sector, help to buy and later living properties across Oxford are searching for a Technical Manager to join their new team in central Oxford. The preferred candidate will have experience of building large scale residential properties and either have their MCIOB or be working towards it. The Technical Manager will need to demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to lead a small internal team, along with external consultants to ensure that standards are kept as high as possible. With a very strong brand name they are set to continue delivering more properties than the majority of their competitors, with over 6,000 already in construction. Technical Manager requirements: Full technical drawing packages from planning consent through to detailed design and project plans are completed to suit development programme. Manage the Co-ordination of externally appointed professionals to complete each development on time and on budget ensuring that all internal client requirements are allowed for. Monitor the design programming and monitoring performance of external consultants and managing Design process with external consultants to deliver designs in line with company standards and expectations. You will be the link between the Development Team and Sales and Marketing Team to ensure that all projects run smoothly. You will provide advice and expertise to sub-Contractors and add an additional layer of technical support during construction phase as well as being a decision maker during design process on a number of projects running concurrently The Technical Manager must be able to demonstrate their e xperience of working on mixed tenure private/affordable apartment developments. Be familiar with different software, such as Adobe, Autodesk and Microsoft software products. You must be willing to work as a team and become a leader within the organisation.
