Data Engineer (Gaming) Central London £50,000 - £100,000 package MBN are working with one of London’s well-established gaming companies to find them a highly capable Data Engineer, to help support the growth of their AWS Data Platform. They’ve recently released a new game with ratings through the roof – so you’ll play a huge part in ensuring that any data captured from the game’s engine is brought in and analysed the way it should be. This client has a fantastic office environment, consistently being named in the Top 100 workplaces in the UK, with many game development awards to top it. The culture is excellent, healthy, and you’ll be well supported in this role with plenty of opportunities for personal development. As you would expect with an organisation like this, they have an extremely modern data environment – their data is held in AWS, and is ‘Big’ and still growing. The gaming industry is now bigger than ever, and we are seriously excited to be supporting a project in this domain – see below the skill requirements for this role: · Must have strong Python experience, and preferably exposure to Scala or Java · Strong exposure to cloud technologies – Preferably AWS, but Azure and GCP will be considered · Big Data experience, with Spark and potentially Hadoop · Good communication skills with the ability to maintain relationships with third party vendors The future is looking bright for this excellent business.
