Overview

Tax Manager Great opportunity for experienced Tax Manager to join well-established firm of accountants. You will be expected to take responsibility for contributing significantly to the provision of specialist tax advice and planning for clients both within a portfolio of clients and on special projects and for ensuring that staff under your supervision receive the required job training and support to meet business and personal goals. Key responsibilities to include: Managing a portfolio of clients; working with and answering queries, including tax compliance advice, from the Director and clients. Undertaking ad hoc tax projects/ advisory work. Managing all work and billing within a portfolio and project work, ensuring budgets are met. Assisting the Director with tax advisory work and providing advice and assistance to individuals within the practice as and when required. Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and applying this knowledge to clients’ affairs. Identifying and actioning business opportunities when reviewing client affairs as appropriate. Staff development / training. Developing and maintaining relationships with clients. The successful Tax Manager must be ATT and/or CTA qualified or equivalent with a detailed knowledge of UK tax legislation and implications for clients and be capable of actively managing their own workloads and prepared to take responsibility for their own development. First class staff management and communication and inter-personal skills essential. Must also ensure that all staff under supervision receive effective job training and experience to complement their studies, whilst at the same time meeting work priorities.
