Overview

Braxfield Recruitment are a leading recruitment agency working within the social housing sector. We have been appointed by a housing provider based in London who are looking to recruit an experienced HR Manager on a permanent contract. The HR Manager will be responsible for leading a team of HR Specialists providing a comprehensive and professional HR service which delivers the people and culture strategy and supports the delivery of the company’s strategic objectives. This means you’ll need a good people and technical balance of extensive business partnering experience and employment law knowledge as well as a desire to develop strong relationships and seek win-win outcomes. Other duties as a HR Manager will include: Reviewing and developing HR policies in line with legal requirements and good practice. In collaboration with the L&D team, design and deliver policy skill booster sessions and other learning interventions to ensure our HR policies are implemented consistently and effectively. Managing, coaching and supporting the HR specialists to give their best performance and delivering quality advice and a proactive HR service in line with the People and Culture Strategy. Undertaking salary benchmarking and advising managers on appropriate salary packages, considering internal relativities and appropriate data sources, in line with the pay policy. Supporting the Director of People and Culture to design and embed initiatives to drive and promote equality, diversity and inclusion. Designing and implementing talent mapping/succession strategies and practices to secure a good quality talent pipeline and retention of critical posts/people. Working with the Head of HR Services and Systems and Talent Acquisition Specialist to implement effective workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies to support the company attract and recruit the right talent, including Apprenticeships and Graduates. Providing advice, support and appropriate HR interventions to support directorate restructures and change management programmes. Leading the management of complex casework to secure best outcomes, acting as a centre of expertise on employment policy and legislation. And much more To be considered for the position of HR Manager you must have the following: Experience of managing/supervising people. Experience of leading restructures or being part of one alongside change management programmes. Previous experience as a HR Manager / Business Partner. Strong ER experience. Excellent knowledge of existing UK employment law and awareness of forthcoming legislative changes and its impact on the business. Experience of providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on complex HR matters. Chartered Member of the CIPD.
